Earth River SUP 12-6 V-II: Board Overview
This inflatable touring SUP measures 12’6″ x 32″ x 6″ with a weight of 27 pounds, and it has a total carrying capacity of 350 pounds. If you’re a rider that’s on the heavier side or you want to bring some friends or pets along, the ERS 12-6 V-II delivers excellent stability, making it easy to ride regardless of your experience level.
Visually, this board has an attractive blue, gray, and white color scheme that looks right at home on the water.
For a touring board, rigidity and an enhanced carrying capacity are very important aspects. The manufacturing process behind this board consists of an ERS V-II Core Construction, reinforced with an additional PVC layer to ensure the board feels solid and stable in many different water conditions. While this board isn’t the lightest around, it’s not unmanageable to carry around.
On the top of the board is a comfortable diamond grip deck pad that delivers excellent traction. There is also a center carry handle for your convenience.
At the nose, there’s a 4-point bungee system which gives you a great way to store your shoes, dry bag, backpack, and more while you’re out for a paddle.
Moving to the tail, there’s a raised kick pad and foot bar designed to give you more control when performing advanced moves such as pivot turns.
Finally, the underside of the 12-6 V-II features a very versatile ERS triple fin configuration which allows you to position the center fin forwards or backwards, while the 2 smaller fins are also completely removable.
