Tower Paddle Boards Review

Tower Paddle BoardsSan Diego-based Tower Paddle Boards is a company that offers direct-to-consumer sales on a wide range of beach lifestyle products. Headed by founder and CEO Stephan Aarstol, Tower’s popular line of inflatable paddle boards initially became well-known through exposure on ABC’s popular Shark Tank television program and funding by billionaire entrepreneur, Mark Cuban. In addition to Tower’s inflatable SUP line, the company also sells several hard boards.

Currently, Tower has four basic inflatable paddle board models and a few special edition spinoffs with specialized designs and features. In this review of Tower’s inflatable SUPs, we’ll include a handy comparison chart and then quickly discuss each model’s specs, design, special edition variants, and the type of paddling it’s best suited for.

This is a basic, entry-level model that is a good choice for smaller paddlers who need a no-frills iSUP at an affordable price. It’s available in white and a special Kawasaki edition.

Accessories Included with all Tower Paddle Boards

The included accessory bundle is one area where we feel Tower can make some big improvements. Unlike other iSUP packages such as those offered by iROCKER which come with everything you need to start paddling, Tower only includes a paddle, pump, and repair kit with their boards.

We’d love to see a SUP backpack and safety leash included with Tower’s paddle boards in the future as this would really improve the overall value of their line. While there was a time when Tower’s inflatable SUPs were a good option, there are too many similarly-priced boards on the market now which offer far more in terms of overall value — for this reason, we can’t really recommend Tower’s iSUPs at the moment.
